Mr Meats Wholsale Food and Butchers

Mr Meat's History
1979 saw the start of a family business aiming to supply the South West with quality traditional meats.
Over 28 years on, and that aim remains. Mr Meats has indisputably grown through the food industries evolution, to be the largest catering food suppliers and butcher in Cornwall, incorporating the most modern hygiene and technology standards with traditional butchers skills.

We believe Mr Meats has grown due to a continued commitment to supplying our customers with premium quality produce, and maintaining a personal and family ethos throughout the business.
This finely achieved balance takes place within 20’000 square feet of EEC licensed butchers factory, audited by the Meat Hygiene Service, who visit on a regular and unannounced basis. Quality control checks are performed throughout every stage of a products cycle, and legislation adhered to with loyal commitment.

We pride ourselves on our impeccably high standards of hygiene and regulations and have every confidence in the service we provide.

Customer confidence is of vital importance to us
Can you assure your customers that you know exactly where your food has originated from?
We have a butchers traceability system in place that can provide this invaluable asset. We know each quarter¹s exact place and date of birth, and the animal¹s conformation, breed and sex. We then continue this traceability to the point of use by uniquely coding our individual meat products.

Our trusted local suppliers
Cornwall and the West Country have an amazing wealth of fine food produce that often gets overlooked. Mr Meats is delighted to source our Beef and Lamb from Jaspers at Treburley, Launceston, and our Cornish Pork from J V Richards in Falmouth.

We proudly promote quality Cornish food produce, and the ways in which our meat product has been skilfully matured and butchered. Beef is matured for around the optimum time of 21 days, and Lamb is trimmed and portioned to consistently high specifications. Despite this being a costly process for us, we know the end result in improved flavour and texture will do the Cornish produce the justice it fully deserves. Superior quality and taste from our beautiful Cornish countryside.
